Reply to Terry's Post: the doctor took a stool sample and it came up clear. i think i may have had worms so thats why i took vermox .this has been annoying me for two years . i tried doubling the dose of vermox and i haved tried this several times. it seems to annoy me more at night time

If the stool sample was taken recently and was negative, that's great. It is common for it to be more itchy at night even if you don't have worms. You have Pruritus Ani, which is basically an itchy butt. If you click on the websites below you will see various treatments that will help you feel better. Remember, also, to eliminate spicy food, peppers and citrus from your diet, as these can irritate your anal opening when you pass these foods in your bowel movement. Cleanse the area with moistened toilet tissue instead of dry.
