I had my Gallbladder removed 7 weeks ago due to incomplete emptying shown on a hida scan. Initially i felt much better afterwards but 4 weeks ago i started with the same pain under my ribs and shoulder tip pain. I also still have nausea and indigestion.
I have also started with severe stomach pains radiating to the centre of my back and chest pains after eating. Is this normal or have i got another problem with my bile ducts or sphincter of oddi?? or have i got a totally different problem such as an ulcer or hiatus hernia??
I haven't got a follow up with my surgeon as i live in the UK and they won't give me an appointment because the nhs are cutting down on follow up appointments.

Hi
Yes i have loose stools, i go to the toilet about 3 times a day mainly in the morning, and on the 2- 3rd time of going is it watery and brown/yellowy in colour, but no lower abdominal pain. All the pain is from my stomach and under my right ribs. The pain in my stomach is worse when my stomach is empty and also about 1-2 hours after i eat.
Yes i also have heartburn after i eat and in the middle of the night and also belching during and after i eat.
What i am particularly worried about is the stomach pain radiating to the centre of my back and the chest pain after i eat. If you need any more information please send me a message. Thank you.

Hi, Customer (name blocked for privacy) , you should consult a doctor immediately ,preferably a gastroenterologist .

The stomach pain radiating to the centre of your back , chest pain and the loose stools could be signs of Pancreatitis or Pancreas inflammation.

It is also important that the doctor rules out heart problems , like a possible cause of this chest pain.

The heartburn and belching could be related to gastritis ( stomach lining inflammation ) or GERD ( this condition is characterized by the reflux of acid juices from the stomach into the esophagus ).

The doctor will perform some tests like : cholangiopancreatography , serum amylase and lypase , esophageal manometry , abdominal MRI and pH acidity tests .

With these tests , the doctor will be able to determine the cause of your symptoms to give you the appropriate treatment .
