I apologize to Dr. Amit, I wanted to clarify some of the answers here. You do not have HPV, if the test came back negative. Dysplasia is able to come back again, although if your paps have been normal for the past few years, and you are in a monogamous relationship, the chances of it returning are somewhat decreased. Considering that your HPV test came back negative, and your last few paps came back normal, it's likely, but not guaranteed, that this pap will come back normal. Being in a monogamous relationship and having negative HPV makes your chances of having any abnormal changes less, and as long as you have had a child already and no more cervical changes occur, your fertility is unlikely to be affected.
