Sent to Health Experts October 13, 2006 10:15 p.m.

I have vaginal bleeding during and after intercourse. No pain. I did have a retained placenta during the birth of my child, which required a D&C. My 2nd cervical biopsy came back abnormal. Nothing detected on transvaginal ultrasound. I am scheduled for a saline sonogram next week. I have not been diagnosed with HPV but I am sure the doctor will test. Any ideas about possible diagnosis.

Hello,

Cervical dysplasia appears to be the cause of the bleeding. Other causes are:

  • vaginitis and vaginosis
  • adenomyosis and endometritis
  • fibroid tumor and polyp of the uterus
  • cervical polyps.
