Hi, She may have ruptured ear drum and middle ear infection. I suggest to you to take her to an Emergency room as soon as possible . She may need to be put on antibiotic and other medications.

Reply to V. YetimyanM.D.'s Post: It also has a bad odor like rotten eggs. Would this suggest something else? We have gotten alot out of her ear. She says she can hear better.

Hi, Bad odor may mean that she has the ear infection for a whiile and nobody realized it. Apparently it became obvious after the discharge became visible. It can be harmful for her instead of useful trying to clean her ear. All she needs immediate attention of an Emergency Room doctor.
