Hello Marjon,

Such itching can be caused by a fungal infection but the blood sugar level he had which is quite high leads to some suspicion of diabetes to be the cause. Skin itching is common in diabetes which may be caused by yeast infection, dry skin, or poor circulation.

If he has not yet been tested for diabetes, it is highly advised that he do it. We can say that his blood sugar level can be considered normal if it was checked right after a meal but it is much better to check on that.

With his arm itching, it can be a fungal or yeast infection, so better if he can be examined in person and get the proper treatment.

Please get appointment with your doctor.

Take care!
