This is likely a tendonitis and the treatment you have tried is what is
recommended. I am sure you are going crazy with the summer months
upon us and I assume no golf for you?? Rest assured this will get
better, but it may take up to 6 months of the treatment you are
doing. A wrist splint can help to keep small irritating movements
at a minimum, thereby encouraging the healing process. There is a
surgical technique where the area is opened and the tendon is split to
get to the scar tissue. 3 months of recovery after this
surgery. Once you return to golfing, be sure to use a support of
some type to protect the muscle and tendon attachments!
