This is likely a tendonitis and the treatment you have tried is what is recommended. I am sure you are going crazy with the summer months upon us and I assume no golf for you?? Rest assured this will get better, but it may take up to 6 months of the treatment you are doing. A wrist splint can help to keep small irritating movements at a minimum, thereby encouraging the healing process. There is a surgical technique where the area is opened and the tendon is split to get to the scar tissue. 3 months of recovery after this surgery. Once you return to golfing, be sure to use a support of some type to protect the muscle and tendon attachments!
