REPLIED Check Mark

You could have a pinched nerve either in the neck or the shoulder area. This will cause pain and tingling as you described. You will need to see an orthopedic surgeon if it's the shoulder. But if it is the neck you will need to see a neurosurgeon. This is not to say that you need surgery, but these are the people who can best evaluate. If your insurance limits the consultants that you can see, then just go to your PCP and he can order a MRI to see where the problem lies. In the meantime, ibuprofen type meds will relieve the inflammation of the nerve and thereby relieve the tingling and a good bit of the pain.
