I exercise frequently and eat healthfully. I just had my blood pressure checked during my annual exam and it was 112 over 74 I know that 120 over 80 is ideal, is mine too low? By the way I am 41 year old woman 5 foot 6 inches 126 lbs. Also am wondering if this low blood pressure is contributing to my frequently being tired lately and I would like to lose about ten pounds would this be a healthy option for me. Thank you so very much.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

Hello,

Normal blood pressure is under 120/80, so yours is not too low at all. When the bottom number is under 60 we start lookinig to see if there is anything wrong, but a 74 dystolic is perfectly normal.

I thank you so very much. This is very good to know. Do you think that I should proceed in attempting to lose ten pounds? I have weighed between 125 and 130 for most of my adult life, at my heaviest I was 133.
