My husbands has a foot that keeps swelling and we can find no reason. He had some broken skin between his toes and it itched and swelled but peroxide tinactin and neosporine cleared it up. The swelling is still happening and he complains of it feeling tight but thats all. Its not warn to the touch but his whole foot, top bottom, up his ankle swells and the top turns beet red. With no more broken skin and no pain or itching I am at a loss for a cause. He sits at a computer most of the time with little to no exercise. Sometimes 18 hours.

This sounds as though he could be having a problem with his circulation. Especially with the sign of the redness that you are seeing, if he gets little or no exercise this can cause swelling if he sits at the computer with his knees bent. If this is a new sign and he has been sitting for long periods of time before with no problem he should be seen by his physician as this sounds related to his circulation and needs to be further evaluated. This can be caused by improper blood flow and can get worse without being treated and evaluated so I would recommend that he be seen as soon as he can.
