This is URGENT....I am so desperate at this point. This is the deal. I have been dieting and I have lsot 14 pounds since March 9th and I need to lose at least 7 more pounds if not more by next Thursday - May 25th. I walk everyday 2.5 miles and I get a lot of exercise but I am stuck and I need to lose this extra weight fast. What suggestions do you have for me please.

Thanks
Lisa

I am not sure why you need to lose weight so fast; however, you may want to increase the amount of water you drink and try the Atkins Diet. This is ok to follow short term in an effort to kick start your diet. Fat weight loss is not healthy and often, you will gain back the weight quickly.

Remember, exercise reduces fat and builds muscle. There is a theory that muscle, weighs more than fat.

Here is the Atkins Diet website:

A group of nurses (including myself) swear by the South Beach Diet, we all lost between 4 and 8 pounds the first week. It is the only diet that I and some of my friends have been able to stick on, lose weight and maintain our weight.

You could ask your dovtor for medication, but this is not a guarantee. The medications often take longer than you have to reach maximum blood levels.

Atkins works, if you just eat cheese, meat and eggs. No carbs, you should be able to drop some weight.

A few people I know have tried this, but there were mixed reviews:

Reply to Deborah's Post: I tried the Hollywood drink where you are to lose 10 pounds in 48 hours and it didn't work. I'm not sure if I did it wrong or not. Atkins diet that I"m not sure of...you mean I can eat eggs, cheese and meat (steaks, burgers) just no carbs and lose weight?

I agree, most of my friends were not impressed with the Hollywood Diet.

I tried Atkins and all I ate was meat, cheese, eggs and lost six pounds in a week.

Th theory with this is that when you eat carnsm your body burns them first, before the fat (that is a very short explanation, but basically what happens)

Don't drink any caffiene. Buy the paperback and check it out.

I was going to suggest that, but the problem is that many of the fruit juices and veggie juices are so high in sugar.

You could try the new V-8 Fusion as it comes in diet version along with some low sodium beef or chicken buillion cube drinks or low fat canned chicken broth
