what can cause a false positive drug test? I took a urinalysis to test for cocaine and it came up positive. I had not done cocaine in months and paid to have it restested and it came up positive again. I'm wondering what I can do to prove my innocence.

Optional Information:
Female , Age: 44

Already Tried:
retesting same specimen, checking all drugs I am prescribed to see if that could case the error, too late for new sample

I have not smoked crack cocaine in several months but came up positive on a urinalysis. I had the sample restested and it was still positive. I had recently done some strenuous exercise and wondered if it could have been excreted from my fat cells. This test was about 2 weeks ago so I can't be retested now. It showed up in the u.a. as a large quantity of cocaine. I submitted a hair sample today but don't know if that will show the same result, in other words if it was secreted from fat cells would it be in my recent hair growth. They took a large strand of hair although I told them to not go back more than 4 months as I had done cocaine four months ago, but they still took a semi-long strand of hair. I am currently waiting those results. I just want to prove I haven't done cocaine in the last few months.

I don't want to state the obvious but, have you been away for marijuana as well?
