Yesterday, both my legs were shaking internally, and made it hard to walk. It came on suddenly at 11:30 a.m and lasted until bedtime. Today, the shaking is gone, but both my legs are hurting when I go to sit down or stand up and when I walk. What is causing this?

Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy),

If you have recently exerted some extra exercise with your legs that caused some strain on the muscles, heat and ibuprofen should help. If this is NOT the case...... Muscle ache and weakness may be a sign of electrolyte imbalance.....particularly low magnesium and potassium levels. If this lasts through the weekend, I suggest giving your doctor a call so you can get some blood tests done to check your electrolytes. Oral supplements is usually enough to correct the problem.

For the aches, try some ibuprofen and gentle massage of the muscles may provide some relief along with heating pad.
