Reply to Dr Amit Munjal's Post: The swelling is generally sticking out, just below my diaphram in the upper abdominal area, not much larger than my tummy but it is definitely not just fat. The consistancy is firm to press on it. No lung disfunction at all just slight pressure on the lungs. No cough at all.

It falls under my ribcage, basically the entire area just feels larger. My husband notices it. It is not really a large round shape but more an overall pooching out. My back has been really bothering me especially after working all day and I am also sore under my rib cage. My feeling is that it is bad posture, making my diaphram either swell or be pushed out. This has been going on for a month or so.

Hi,

From your description this sounds as a collection of fat along with local muscle stiffness due to prolonged sitting , ? lack of exercise producing such swelling .

Also i would recommend an X- Ray of Lumbo sacral spine to assess the condition of the spine .

Also you need Physiotherapy for your back ache .

Hope this helps
