Hello,

What sort of orthotics does he use - insoles? And why does he require orthotics - what problem does he have?

Thank you for the valuable information. Should he remain using his old orthotics, new orthotics or no orthotics?

Hello,

When did he start using his old orthotics? Did the pain start after he started using them?

he had new ones approx 6-8 weeks ago but found them uncomfortable. Probably due to the fact that they are longer than the old ones, so he continued to use his old ones. The pain started after he had a new pair of football boots so we assumed it was the boots and purchased him a pair recommended by the podiatrist. Pain seems to have lessened with new boots. The pain seems to be not as bad when he has runners and old orthotics on. Heel raises have also helped.

Hello,

Please continue with the old orthotics and heel raises since they have helped decrease the pain.

Whether the pain is due to his boots or to his new orthotics will need to be analysed by his podiatrist. Perhaps he will need to get his new orthotics adjusted for comfort.

I hope this helps.
