Yes I have heard of this and it can be due to an issue with her blood circulation. Some of the best ways to avoid this is to as her doctor said is to take one aspirin daily which will yes increase her circulation and dilute her blood vessels. Also water is one of the most important things for her to intake as this helps the circulation while also helping her kidney and liver functions as well. Exercise is also one of the most helpful ways to keep the blood flow going and increase the circulation also. A daily vitamin suppliment would also be wise to make sure that she is getting her recommended daily allowance of nutrients and minerals and also make sure that she is not retaining water as this can also be a sign of a need for a diuretic so this needs to be ruled out.SO if there seems to be water retention consider discussing with her physician about a need for this.
