My roommate is 19 years old and has a fever of 102.5 F.

My roommate is 19 years old and has a fever of 102.5 F. She felt fine this morning and began feeling sick around 5pm. It is now 7:45. At what fever temperature should we seek medical attention? Is there anything we can do to make her more comfortable?

Hello and welcome to Just Answer;

Tylenol or ibruprofen can be given to reduce the fever, as well as taking a warm bath. However, medical attention should be sought immediately if any of the following occur in addition to the fever:

abdominal pain, severe vomiting, headache, stiff neck, confusion, or problems staying awake, burning with urination are present, or shortness of breath occurs.

If the any of the above symptoms are not present, it is possibly a viral infection most commonly due to the flu. If this is the case, fever should disappear within 24 hrs. If fever does not disappear then emergency treatment is advised.
