ACCEPTED Check Mark

Hi,
I am a pediatrician,
A 101.9 F in a 19 month old may be an indication for a visit to the ER IF the child is very lethargic, is not accepting feed, has a rash, excessive vomitings, dehydration, excessive irritability even after fever reduction, and the duration of fever is more than 1 -2 days.
You need to give her the appropriate dose of tylenol drops 4 hourly and and may try sponging with warm water if needed.
Talk to your pedaitrician office helpline and if needed take her to the ER,
regards
Dr. Gupta
