my 5yr old grandson has been diagnosed with mono. runs fever in afternoon and night going on 3 week. no treatment from dr. let him do what he feels like no restrictions. any thing we need to do and how long should fever last?

The fever should have minimized by now and I am surprised they did not put him on any antibiotics to help with the symptoms although they do not help most viral infections they can still help with the symptoms. If he is still running a fever by Monday I would recommend having him seen for a re-check and make sure he is taking Tylenol to help reduce his fever as best as possible but his fever should break by this week.
