my 5 yo has had a fever (101-104) accompanied with constant headache and recently "bad tummy ache" I've been alternating Acet. and Ibup. every 2 to 2 1/2 hours for the fever and that keeps it down to about 100. What does this sound like? Any other suggestions or do we need to go the ER?

Hi,

As long as you can keep the temperature under control with medication and she is keeping enough fluid in the stomach you can wait until tomorrow morning to call her pediatrician. Her problem looks like cold virus. if temperature keeps going up that means that the cold complicated by an ear infection or by a sinus infection or may be by a pneumonia and she needs to go to the Emergency room for an exam and for antibiotic prescription.
