Lip sores
Sent to Health Experts May 19 04:34 PM

I've been diagnosed with Type A Strep Throat.. started on Monday.. Wednesday got my period and awoke with several sores on the lower lip inside and out... lips were swollen and face. Now it is Friday and I've been taking an Antibiotic.. Augmentin 1500 mg a day and Zovirax 5% for the lip.. I've had chills and fever since Monday and now I have diarrhea and my lip is worse... my doctor told me I have a cold sore but I have never had a cold sore and it doesn't look like a cold sore to me... it actually looks like blisters that have hardened under the lip skip... but my lip is extremely large and hurts.. it actually feels numb.. I assuming from the medication.. not sure.. what do you think?

You are experiencing a virus. Sounds exactly like fever blisters or cold sores. Zovirax is the best medication! It will help heal them faster. It is common to get them during a virus or a cold.
