I have a 12 year old son who yesterday started complaining of headache and stomache ache. Last night he started running a temp of 102.5 and vomitted once. Today the fever has gone as high as 104.1. He does not have any other symptoms today except fever and aches. My main concern is he removed a tick of himself about 3 days ago. Could this be a tick related illness or simply the flu?

Optional Information:
Male , Age: 12

REPLIED Check Mark

It can be early stage or first stage Lyme disease. He may develop a rash in a month. It can be Flu after Lyme disease ruled out. I suggest to you to see a health care provider as soon as possible or take him to an Emergency Room.
