Hello

I really think that it is time to see a doctor for this pain. Sounds like you've cleaned out your system, so the constipation wouldn't be the cause for the pain at this point. The fever worries me too. It could be a coincidence that your baby has a fever as well, or it could be related.

I suggest that you go get tested for what is called H. Pylori. This is a bacterial infection that people get in the GI tract. It can cause ulcers if left untreated.

The other thing is that you may be have inherited the diverticulosis, and it could also be related to the drinking.

In any case, some diagnostic studies are in order to find the cause. You shouldn't have to live like this, and putting it off could delay or inhibit complete healing.

Reply to Kerry's Post: should baby be tested for h. pylori. could the fever   in dad or baby have anything to do with the coworker who may have had pnuemonia. would an emergency room test for bacterial infection or diverticulitis. we do not have insurance so we do not have a gp. would a gp do these test or refer us to a specialist would the er refer us to a specialist or just prescribe some meds. and send us on our way.

There is no way to tell if the fevers are related. Since dad has been in pain for so long, I'd suggest going to the doctor. Finding a GP who will take payments is going to be less expensive than an ER, but if that is your only choice, go there.

Baby should qualify for medicaid if parents don't have insurance.

Your life and well being as well as your babies is way more important than a doctor bill. They will make a payment plan with you that you can work with.

I think dad needs to be tested for h.pylori etc.

If baby's temp stays elevated for more than a day or two, you need to have baby seen as well.
