There are 2 types of lymphomas, Hodgkins disease and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. The difference between the two types are seen by microscope.
The main symptom is swelling of a lymph node. The enlarged node is usually painless and other signs and symptoms can come up such as: fatigue, unexplained fever and weight loss, rash, and night sweats.
The diagnosis is made by taking a biopsy or aspiration of the lymph node and studying it in a lab. X-Rays, MRI's and CT scans are other ways to diagnose lymphoma.
Treatment can be in the form of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, and bone marrow transplants.
