A friend of my son,19 yr old , just had an appendectomy last Saturday. For the past few days, he has been having a pain in the side, is very lathergic and running high fever (currently 102 w/ tylenol). He is terribly pale and has black bags under his eyes. He talked w/ his physician who ordered a CAT scan for tomorrow late afternoon. My concern is he continues to act more lethargic and the fever. Should he go to the emergency room now? My gut feeling , as a mom, is he needs checked out. He is not receptive because of his lack of insurance and money. Please advice us what to do.

Thank you!
