Swelling in the groin area is generally indicative of a local infection in sthe surrounding areas..This could a skin infection, a soft tissue infection or even an STD
If the swelling is painful/ accompanies with fever OR persists for more than a few days, you ought to consult your physician,

Reply to Gaurav Gupta's Post: they are not painful and as far as I can tell I do not have a fever. They do move around when I touch them. Unfortunately I did have unprotected sex once about three weeks after after a bit too much alcohol. Should I see a gyn immediately?
