Valley Fever
Sent to Health Experts July 10 01:18 PM

My husband has Valley Fever got sick in April at which time they said he had pneumonia and prescribed Z-pak. He continued down hill so he saw a different doctor in June 2005 was diagnosed. His blood count was 1:128. He was prescribed Fluconozole in what his doctor said was a very high dose. I don't have the bottle here in front of me or I could tell you haw many mg. He took the meds for about 9 months and was feeling better but not great. He went for a follow up in June 2006, his blood count is now 1:8. He is no longer on the medication. His doctor said he may remain at 1:8 for the rest of his life and all we need to do is come in for routine testing every 3 months. My husband has extreme joint pain and severe night sweats. He just told me that he feels worse now than he did a few months ago. I think we need to find a Valley Fever spectialists. Can you help me? We live in Inyokern, CA (Kern County). I can be reached by phone at (760)793-1611or by e-mail at sandysisk3@verizon.net.
