Hello,

Scarlet fever is caused by group A strep.

Group G strep is usually seen in people with compromised immune systems such as people diagnosed with cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes.

Group G strep can cause these infections:

blood infections
connective tissue infections around joints
heart lining infection
brain lining infection
bone infection
abdominal lining infection.
