swollen lymthnodes

about 3 weeks ago my daughter in law took my grandson to the doctor and the doctor said he had swollen lymthnodes in the ileac region and he is five years old this morning she noticed he has more on the other side he has carried no fever and has had no bites or sores on him what could cause this.
