Question

Infection on ear, face, getting close to eye

I have an infection that started around my left outer ear. The skin is tender, warm to the touch and swollen. i have low grade temperature. It is now moving across my cheek towards my eye. I read this may a problem. Do i need to go to an emergency room, or wait until tomorrow morning for a Dr. office visit?

Already Tried:
waiting it out. It started Friday after noon.. my ear was tender if touched, felt fluish on Friday night, felt fair Saturday, but saw the redness spreading. Sunday morning still spreading and more swollen. still low grade temp

No do not wait.............this may be a serious infection that needs immediate attention and antibiotics or other treatment. I would not wait any longer. The fever is sign of infection and problems. Have someone drive you if possible. The color spread may very well be infection spreading and is typical of infections. Go ahead and go.
