Ruptured Eardrum
Sent to Health Experts August 18 05:49 PM

I think I have a ruptured eardrum. Five days ago I was smacked in the ear and since then my ear has been draining a clear-yellowish fluid while sleeping and some during the day; I have some hearing loss in my left ear mainly with low frequency sounds. I have been taking amoxicillin to fight any infection that I may have from accidentally getting water in my ear while taking a shower four days ago, since then I have purchased silicone ear plugs to keep water out of my ear while showering. I was wondering if my ear will heal by its self or if I should go see a doctor and what the long term effects to my hearing I may have. My only problem is that I have no insurance and I am recently unemployed so I don't have any money to see a doctor.
