I would like some informations on siezures in children. My daughter has had 3 in the past two years(very mild) spaced apart by 5-7 months in between. she is only7 and is otherwize very healthy. The first two times it happened she had a sinus infection, no high fever involved.   she had all the tests done at the ER(cat scan ekg etc..)all bloodwork, evertything returned back normal. they told me she probably just passed out. She had the third siezure just today, but this time it was more apparant. She had fallen from the top bunk of a bunk bed. she did not hit her head but her face hit the floor (knocked out a tooth) but no other injuries. when she was in the middle of dabbing her mouth with a tissue she said she felt dizzy and sat down. then it happened. her eyes locked up, she was jerky and gurgling and she lost her urine. it lasted only 5 seconds. still the ER work up was fine. any Idea what could be happening? Just to mention, I'm not sure if this would have anything to do with it but she also has asthma, and multiple food allergies and seasonal/enviromental allergies. she has not yet seen a specialist.
