Question

I am wondering if I have the flu or if something else may

Sent to Health Experts November 18, 2007 4:01 p.m.

I am wondering if I have the flu or if something else may be wrong. Three days ago I got really weak and achy and felt like I had a fever. I took some meds and felt perfectly fine. The next day my neck was really sore like the muscles were aching but never felt like I had a fever. Lastnight all of the sudden I started getting achy and chills and my fever was up to 101 and I took some meds. I still have a low grade fever today and my neck is achy and I have facial discomfort. My sinuses are not draining as I normally do when I have the flu and it just seems very mild as far as that goes. Can you have the flu and not have coughing or severe sinus issues?

I don't have congestion or a sore throat at all though. I have had the flu the last two years around christmas. This is the same minus the congestion.

Ok thanks. I live in Florida so there is some cases I guess. If my fever doesn't go away I will make sure I go to the dr. in the next couple of days. My neck muscles are what is killing me.

I find that Advil/Motrin tends to help the aches and pains more than Tylenol. If you don't have a problem with Advil/Motrin (ulcers, stomach problems or allergy) that may be a better option than the Tylenol.
