My left ring finger began getting swollen last night ...

Sent to Health Experts December 12 08:52 PM

My left ring finger began getting swollen last night although I did not injure it. I managed to remove only 1 of my wedding bands. The other remains. Finger continues to stay extremely swollen. I can bend it but it is painful when touched. The swollen area is right on the bone where finger bends. It does not feel hot to the touch, but it really hurts and I cant remove ring, although ring area not swollen. What should I do? Feels like finger is twisted-muscle very tender.

Optional Information:
Female , Age: 46

Already Tried:

Reply to Cynd's Post: No cuts, did not hurt it or banged it. Dont think its a bite either. I do suffer from high blood pressure and take Diovan 180 mg. Have not been sick but have been getting dizy spells ocassionally. It feels like a torn muscle.
