i had skin grafts on four of my fingers in 1988 due to a burn i rec'd in 1977 (i was 3 y/o). the skin was taken from my hip. one of the fingers had to be redone because i injured it while wrestling with a friend. that skin was taken from the right edge of my left hand. now, that finger is badly callused and i made the mistake of picking at it, so now the callus is just getting worse by cracking and spreading causing a bit of discomfort. how do i stop the callus? if i need to see a professional, should i see a dermatologist or a surgeon? also, i already tried a chemical on it that is used for calluses or corns.
