i just cut my left index finger with a serrated knife. It also cut my finger nail way down below the quick. it is bleeding and I am holding the "flap" down and applying pressure.   How long should I wait before I go see if I need stitches? Any other suggestions. I am trying to keep it elevated. Thank you.
