what is considered a swollen lymph node? I can feel

what is considered a swollen lymph node? I can feel very small bumps (less than pea size, more like BB size) if i press down in my armpit and dig around with my finger. is this normal. I cant feel it if i just run my finger over my skin in the armpit.
