I have a swelling and pain in my finger tip that is lasting a long time for no reason and feels like it is infected, but nothing has happened to it.

Since how long are you having these symptoms ?

Which finger is involved ?

Any blood work done ?

What is your age ,sex , height ,weight ?

B.P and Pulse rate ? Blood sugar levels ?

The last 3 weeks this has been happening on and off. Started one morning after I woke up.
It's the right indexfinger.
I haven't had any bloodwork done in years.
I am 37 years old, 5'8", Male, 148 Lbs.
I think my heart and pulse rate are prob higher than normal, usualy are.
Blood sugar levels unknown, but I am most likely type 2 dyabetic.

Hello,

You should get some testing done like Blood sugar levels , Serum uric acid , RA factor .

Get your B.P checked .

From the above based investigations i wish to rule out systemic causes like early RA , elevated serum uric acid etc .
