While the exact cause may vary, mot commonly this may be due to an allergic reaction, OR contact dermatitis (repeated contact with something that does not agree with your skin).
The best treatment would vary as per the cause, but may include the use of barrier creams/ gloves, and possibly use of low to medium potency steroid creams as needed.
I would advise a visit to a dermatologist at the earliest to confirm the diagnosis and start proper treatment,
Other than this a well balanced nutritious diet may help too,
