The tip (up to the 1st joint) of my first finger on my right hand lately is always cold and sometimes purple. Should I be concerned?

These symptoms indicate a reduction in blood supply. It may be Reynaulds Phenomenon which is reduced peripheral circulation to the extremities or it may be some other cause of peripheral vascular problem.

I would mention this to your doctor as it could be a sign of an underlying circulation problem. Depending on the extent of the problem he may want to give you some medication. Otherwise we look to use methods such as gloves and hand warmers in order to maximize circulation.
