About 2 hours ago, I was experimenting with my husband with a wire attached vibrator. We had put the small vibrator in my anus. When going to pull it out, the wire broke off. Immediately I clenched and ran to the bathroom. I'm not sure if this action caused it to go in too far. I went to the bathroom and while was able to go, the vibrator did not exit. I got in the squatting position and placed a finger in my vagina and pushed against the back wall but could not even feel it. It seems like something is in there, but where is it? What should I do? I am extremely freaked out by this!

If you have not been able to pass it naturally then you will have to go to ER to have it removed. It is most likely present in the rectum which is fairly wide part of the colon. However if there is a sharp piece where the wire was then there is a risk of a tear or perforation so rather than waiting for it to pass naturally then pop to the ER.

They will be able to help evacuate the bowel or may be able to use a sigmoidoscope to help remove it.

Please do not be embarrassed about this as the ER teams are used to rescuing people in this situation. It would be far worse if you were not to have it removed.

Reply to Pauline's Post: The wire was attached in a little hole in the vibrator so there should not be a sharp piece therefore any risk of tearing.
My husband mentioned that I could try laxatives. DO you think this would be a bad idea?
Understandably you can see why I am hesitant to go to the ER. But if it is my last and most safest option than I will. Is there a way my husband could assist me?

If he is not medically trained then there is a risk that if he were to administer any enemas or suppositories then this could just push the device higher. The anal sphincter is quite tight and may need local anesthetic to reduce sensitivity in order to get adequate access.

Using oral laxatives would take at least 8-12 hours to stimulate the urge to move the bowels and that is quite a long time to have a hard object in the colon.

My advice would be to use some vaseline to lubricate the anus then try again to evacuate the bowel naturally. If this still does not achieve the desired result then I am afraid the only solution is medical intervention.

I'm just going offline now, but I will check back later on to see how you are.
