hand edema from stroke
Sent to Health Experts September 15 02:27 PM

hi, i had a stroke (ischemic-left brain internal capsule-right side affected) 7 months ago. My hand and fingers are swollen' and have been since stroke. my hand will only make a half of fist, and my fingers , when i open my hand have a curl to them and wont straighten out all the way. i'm sure it's some type of edema, but is it supposed to be painful to the fingers when slightly touched? it hasnt gotten any better for the past 3 months it seems. is this a permenant condition? please help.
thanks
