I have been having headaches off and on for the last 4 weeks but they have been constant for the last 2 weeks. I have pain across my forehead and sometimes on the sides. I was given augmentim on Saturday to take to treat a sinus infection but it only eased my headache for one day. Could this not be the right antibodic or can I have a diffent problem besides my sinuses

The only way to answer your question is to cat scan the sinuses. With a ct scan - true sinusitis would show. The brain is not done at the same time as the sinus, this would have to be ordered separately. This would be done to ensure that there is not a bleed or growth responsible for your chronic headaches.

Reply to S. Sarisky DO.'s Post: I had an mri of my sinus about a month ago and it just showed a slight inflamation of the sinuses.

I do have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow

Mri of the sinuses is not the best exam for infection or sinusitis. Ct is the test of choice.
Having said this, if studies do not show an infection, then you are barking up the wrong tree.
I hope things go well at the appt.
please keep me posted

Reply to S. Sarisky DO.'s Post: I went to the doctor today and she said the headaches were probably caused by using my computer at work along with aalergy symptons and stress. She told me to take Execdrin when I have an headache and she also prescribe something for my headaches. She said if I get blurred vision, numbness in my face or weakness then I should start worrying. What do you think? Do you think I should go get another opinion?

If you are not comfortable with her exam then I would get a different opinion. You should have had a complete neurologic exam (testing reflexes, balance, sensation etc) and she should have looked into your pupils with a magnifier (fundoscopic exam) Get your vision checked to ensure it is not your computer screen and focusing too long.
