I have my period regular.For the first time, period has lasted for so long that today on 5th i am still having to change for 6 times and is still heavy and clotty. Give me some ideas , i am not insure.

Hello

The following conditions are associated with heavy periods:

fibroids
endometriosis
pelvic inflammatory disease

polyps of the lining of the womb.

The commonest cause is a condition called dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB). This refers to heavy bleeding with no apparent explanation.

Painful heavy prolonged menses can be due to endometriosis or PID ,you should consult an Gynaecologist for further evaluation to rule out these.
