I have been diagnose with migraine headaches several years ago. I have been taken Topomax for the last several months to control the frequency of the headaches and Malonex when I have an attack. Over the last week I am noticing a influx of headaches with yesterday being the most severe. I took my medicine early in the morning around 11 am and then around 2 PM I passed out for about 5 minutes. Should I be concerned? My mom is making me more scared than I think I should be. I work on a computer all day and have been experiencing pain at the base of my neck for the last week and she's thinking this is all related. Is it?

Reply to Family Physician's Post: The medication name is Maxalt 10mg - sorry for the mis-spelling.

I've been taking them for almost 6 months and no change in dosage.

I've been at the same job for 10 years with no difference in computer usage.

I haven't changed my diet and have cut back my caffeine consumption. I don't drink liquor.

I also take medicine for a thyroid condition on a daily basis - Levothyroxine - have taken that for two years.
