my cousin had open heart surgery for the rplacement of a valve. an artificial valve was used as replacement. incision is down entire chest. ever since surgery and immediately following (5 mo now) he has had shortness of breath and a jumping involuntary movement under rib cage (suspected to be at diaphram)does anyone know what might have caused this or heard about it happening before? he also had a very minor stroke a week ago. he doesn't sleep much and has increased sense of panic. what can it be, is it repairable? is it related to the valve?
