I was wondering what changes in pressure would occur in each four chambers of the heart if I had a heart murmur caused by a congestive heart failure?

Hi

Congestive Heart Failure doesn't necessarily cause a murmur. The murmur often is what causes the CHF.

I would need to know which chamber has the murmur to know which chamber is weakened.

It is the weakened chamber that would cause inefficient pumping of the heart. The inefficient pumping would then cause a back up of fluid, which in turn causes the congestion. This causes the heart to have to work harder, and in the case of CHF, the heart cannot keep up.

There are medications that help this. Also the cause of the murmur might be found, and then the cause can be treated.

What did the doctor prescribe for your next course of action for treatment?

Hope this helps,

Kerry
