If the MRI shows something, the next step will be a biopsy to determine if it is malignant or benign. They might also do a body scan to see if there are any spots elsewhere in your body.
They will then determine if it is operable or non-operable and proceed from there.
Should it be malignant they may choose to do radiation or chemo to shrink the tumor before any surgery is done. This is standard, and the treatments out there are very effective.
