Is it possible for fat to become displaced from sliding ...

Is it possible for fat to become displaced from sliding down stairs? About 8 years ago, my butt landed on the edge of a stair and I've always had a "dent."
..but last night I slid down stairs -- It was very painful. It looks as if the flesh on my thigh was pushed up. It's swollen and dimpled. I've always had good legs.
I'm afraid the same thing that happened to my butt has now happened to my outer thigh -- That it will never look the same again.
It's hurts today, still. Walking, getting up, sitting down --Even slight pressure to the area.

Optional Information:
Female , Age: 39

After an hour and a half or two hours(I was not home), I put a bag of frozen peas on my thigh and went to sleep. I thought the swelling might have gone down, but now I'm not so sure. My biggest concern right now is if I will ever look normal again and if fat can be displaced from sliding down stairs as my skin is dimpled and looks pushed up. Generally, I have great legs.

Are you telling me it's not possible for tissue or flesh to then be displaced?

Why did the dent in my buttocks remain?

I'm 5' 7" at about 142lbs -- About average, I guess.

I think the dent in your buttocs remained not because of tissue or flesh displacement but bedause of scar tissue formation inside the damaged tissue after healing from the trauma .The scar tisue pulls the skin down or other direction and changes the outside appearance of our extremities including buttocs.Displacement usually occurs of internal organs in the abdomen like bowels, spleen kidney's after a motor vehicle accident.

Relist: I still need help.
All the bruising is gone.
I still have swelling the size of a grapefruit, on the outside of my left thigh. It does not look as if the swelling has gone down, at all.
It has been two weeks.
I called my clinic over the weekend, it was already closed. I do not feel walking into an emergency room is warranted, though I am quite concerned.
I can send you a picture. Otherwise, how is this normal?

It has not hurt since two or three days after the accident and I have been rubbing it every now and then.. thinking it would be good for circulation.
Now I'm terrified of having a blood clot. Should I rush to emergency?
How do I send you a photo?
