My dad was recently admitted to the hospital with shortness of breath, fatigue and chest tightness. He has high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, and had a heart attack 6 years ago. After the heart attack, he had heart surgery to replace three clogged vessels. Please tell me what's wrong with him now?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

So your father had 3 vessel bypass 6 years ago. He may have new blockages now that are giving him angina(lack of blood flow to the heart). They will make sure he has not recently or is not now having a new heart attack, then the decision to visualize the coronary arteries comes up. It sounds like your dad is going to need a cardiac cath. to see if he has new blockages and where. Then the decision of how to treat, angioplasty, more bypass or just medications.
best wishes
